11 Years of Blogging: A Journey Through Peaks and Shifts

Today marks the 11th anniversary of my blog, and what a journey it has been! From the very beginning, when I first started writing, I had no idea it would grow into such an important platform for me. Over the years, my blog has covered an array of topics, from my experiences living in Georgia to the intricacies of emerging markets, travel adventures, and financial strategies.

At its peak, the blog saw a significant rise, cracking over 100,000 monthly visitors. That milestone felt like the culmination of years of hard work, persistence, and connection with readers worldwide. I wrote extensively about my travels, living as an ex-pat in Georgia, and exploring local cuisines—these posts drew in thousands of visitors who were equally curious about these topics. The early audience was a mix of travelers, ex-pats, and enthusiasts eager to learn more about life in the Caucasus, finance, and the latest adventures in both urban and rural Georgia.

However, the digital landscape is always shifting, and in recent years, my blog's traffic has dipped to around 3,000 monthly users. While it’s easy to look at the numbers and feel a sense of loss, the reality is that this transition has aligned with a shift in focus. Over the past few years, I've begun delving deeper into financial strategies like options trading and stock picking, a reflection of my growing interest and professional endeavors in the crypto and stock markets. This shift has naturally attracted a more niche audience—those interested in finance and investing.

Despite this pivot toward finance, I’ve never forgotten the roots of this blog. My posts still feature reviews of hotels, personal travel stories, and insights into life in emerging markets. While the focus may be different, my commitment to sharing valuable experiences and lessons remains the same. From reviewing boutique hotels across Georgia to analyzing the latest stock market trends, this blog has evolved along with my own interests and passions.

As I look forward, I’m excited to continue sharing what I’ve learned—whether that’s through financial strategies, personal stories, or insights from my travels. It has been a long road, but it’s one I’m proud to have traveled, and I’m grateful to those who have followed along over the years. Here’s to many more years of growth, discovery, and connection!
