First DJI Mavic Mini Aerial photography (Lisi Lake / Tbilisi)

At the end of July 2020, I finally received my DJI Mavic Mini here in Tbilisi, Georgia.

I was very eager to test it out,  and one of the first spots to test DJI Mavic mini, which come to my mind was the Lisi lake.

As our daughter has a preschool in that area, it was agreed to make the first test flight with this little drone near the Lisi lake.

Not the best shot, obliviously, as the first flight was more about learning the controls

Flying a drone is a lot of fun, no doubts

The drone kept saying that there is a high wind and I didn't take the risk to go higher.. Not the best shot, but you get the idea

One of the things I wish to learn quickly, is how to control exposure and start shooting lovely HDR sunset/sunrise photos with drone.

At the start of April 2026, during our roughly five-day trip to Berlin, we finally visited the famous Berlin Zoo for the first time - or at least the first time I can actually remember. There is a chance my mom might have taken me here sometime in the early 1990s, but if so, those memories are long gone. This visit felt completely new, and…
