Hiking at Birtvisi Canyon
| Living in Georgia | 21 seen
Looking for a fun and scenic day trip from Tbilisi? This past Sunday, we set out on what turned into a surprisingly adventurous and beautiful hike through two of Georgia’s natural gems — Birtvisi Canyon and an attempt at reaching Samshvilde Canyon.
We started our morning at the always-impressive Birtvisi Canyon — one of our favorite hiking spots in the region. Just about an hour’s drive from the capital, Birtvisi offers the perfect combination of rocky trails, forest paths, panoramic views, and fascinating fortress ruins hidden among the cliffs. It’s an easy to moderate hike that anyone in decent shape can enjoy, and it never fails to impress with its dramatic scenery.
After enjoying the peaceful vibe and natural beauty of Birtvisi, we decided to push the day a little further and explore something new: Samshvilde Canyon. It’s…
Coworking Space in Tbilisi - Terminal on Abashidze street 34
| Professional services | 44 seen
Time after time I love working outside my lovely home office, starting from a Turtle lake ending a yard in a countryside.
A couple of years ago i discovered the beauty of working at Fabrika coworking space in Tbilisi, but today I had a chance to visit Terminal coworking space on Abashidze street 34 in Tbilisi.
Fun, I still remember how I met John, an American entrepreneur here in Tbilisi back in 2012, and he was talking it would be cool there would be a kind of a coop in Tbilisi, where like-minded people could work together, share resources e.t.c
Back then it sounded a bit bizarre to me, but I was pretty fond of John's idea... fast forward a decade and we have dozens, zillions of coworking spaces in Tbilisi and Georgia... just chose the one you like the most.
Now back to Terminal coworking space, this place was recommended to me by my partner, as she had noticed it when visiting some medical procedures nearby.
It is said that the Terminal is the first Georgian brand, which laid the foundation for the development of the Co-Working industry in Georgia. Is it true, I…

7 Dividend Stocks To accumulate while selling Put options for extra income
| Options trading | 104 seen
In today's article, I'm going to talk about 7 dividend stocks I don't mind having in my portfolio and how I'm generating additional semi-passive income by selling put options (or credit spreads) on them.
Disclosure: I'm not a financial advisor and I don't give you any advice here, I'm just sharing my own experience. Investments in stocks, funds, bonds, or cryptos are risk investments and you could lose some or all of your money. Do your due diligence before investing in any kind of asset.

Dividend stocksDividend stocks are companies that pay out regular dividends. Dividend stocks are usually well-established companies with a track record of distributing earnings back to shareholders.
Put optionsA put option is a contract giving the owner the right, but not the obligation, to sell–or sell short–a specified amount of an underlying security at a pre-determined price within a specified time frame. This pre-determined price that buyer of the put option can sell at is called the strike price.

The Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Latvia
| Museums | 47 seen
The Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Latvia is an open-air museum located just outside Riga, the capital of Latvia, on the lightly wooded shores of Jugla Lake.
The museum currently occupies 87 hectares and displays 118 buildings, as well as more than 3,000 items. Most of Latvia's historical ethnic groups are represented in the museum. The museum's collection holds approximately 150,000 artifacts.
Despite being a native of Riga, I first visited this place back in the Summer of 2021
In 1924, the Latvian Council of Monuments signed an order to create the open-air museum in Riga.
The idea for the new museum was inspired by open-air museums in Scandinavia, particularly Skansen in Stockholm.
The plan was to relocate a homestead from all four regions of Latvia – Courland, Zemgale, Vidzeme and Latgale – to the museum.
Each of the buildings would represent the different crafts of each area. The new museum acquired land from a state land fund in the sandy dunes near Jugla Lake, just outside the city. In 1928, the first building, a barn from Vestiena parish was relocated and rebuilt in the museum. In 1932, the museum was opened to the…

Abano Mineral Lake Natural Monument
| Lakes | 56 seen
Abano Mineral Lake Natural Monument is a small lake in Kazbegi Municipality in Truso valley on the left bank of Terek River, to the east of the village Abano at 2,127 m above sea level.
First discovered back in Summer of 2021, during the Kazbegi trip
The lake was created by a carbon dioxide filled underground stream flowing to the surface through carbonate rocks from the late Jurassic period.
The lake "boils" loudly with carbon dioxide bubbles bursting. The outflow of the stream is 2.5 million liters per 24 hours.
The total surface area of the lake is 0.04 ha. The emission of gas in calm weather causes carbon dioxide to accumulate in lower levels. Small animals suffocate when they get near the lake, which is why there are dead animals there, such as mice, lizards, frogs and some birds.
